Crocodile Creek Nile Crocodile Farm

A family owned Nile Crocodile Farm ,Ballito , South Africa

Building a Dream......

Crocodile Creek was cut out of the dense coastal bush overlooking the Tongaat River flood plain. Just 14 Kilometers from Ballito, Crocodile Creek was established in 1983 by Peter and Sheila Watson.

Passionate about nature and conservation. Our vision for Crocodile Creek was to not only to create a crocodile farm but also to provide a beautiful Tourist attraction. A place where various species of interesting reptiles would be on display for the public to interact with and be educated about.

Raising awareness, sustainability and conservation of the  Nile Crocodiles our primary concern.

Such a venture would also involve the employment of local residents .Bringing a positive impact to the area and community.

37 years later and not only is Crocodile Creek one of the Kwa-zulu Natal North Coast’s best tourist attractions. It is also responsible for solid conservation work, international live exports and skin exports.

Sustainable Farming Practices

This family owned Nile crocodile farm ,Crocodile Creek started with only 43 Nile Crocodiles , ranging from under a meter to only 2 meters in length. With the knowledge we have gathered over almost 40 years experience and implementation of better farming practices, we now have over 9000 Nile Crocodiles. Over 550 large breeder capable of producing 10 000 of hatchlings a year, because of this we have been able to help save the amazing reptile from near extinction.
